Anti wrinkle injections are the best known and one of the most trusted non surgical facial aesthetic procedures. They have been a staple treatment offered by practitioners for over a decade.

 

This course gives you a qualification in anti wrinkle treatments and covers forehead, frown, crow’s feet, under eye, lip flip, gummy smile and bunny lines. You work on live models throughout, which is what actually builds the judgement you need to practise.

 

Our accredited wrinkle relaxing training will teach you to treat patients safely and prepare you to work in aesthetic medicine.

 

Valessa Aesthetics Institute is an established aesthetic supplier and trainer in Liverpool. Our dermal filler and anti wrinkle courses cover consultation, facial anatomy and landmarking, so you can go on to work in a clinic or set up your own.

 

This one day course on site teaches you to deliver a safe and successful treatment with botulinum toxin, and the fundamentals of anti wrinkle injectables, across the three main areas of the face. Before you attend we want you fully prepared and well informed, so comprehensive theory is provided in advance in a clear, interactive format.

 

COMBINED TRAINING

 

Unlike many other training academies, we offer a combined course that also covers fat dissolving with Lemon Bottle and Deso, face and body, using a range of different injection techniques. Your nurse trainer will tailor the training to your previous experience in the industry, so you progress as you pick up the techniques in each area. Combining the basic and advanced course is more cost effective and means you are trained across all areas while saving time and money.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 

If you do not have the specified medical qualifications, entry to this course is NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy (electricals) or an equivalent course. If you do not hold an NVQ Level 3, you will need to enrol on our Pathway to Injectables course first, which we accept as a prerequisite for enrolment onto this qualification.

 

Please note: if you are a non medic you will only be trained using standard needle injecting techniques. Medical professionals will also cover cannula techniques, which are slightly more invasive.

 

WHAT THE BEGINNERS ANTI WRINKLE TRAINING COURSE INVOLVES

 

The course is separated into two parts. Part one is theory based and involves working through a booklet provided by Valessa Aesthetics Institute, covering:

 

• Treatment information

• Consultation

• Medical questionnaire

• Consent

• Before and after

• Anatomy

• Injection techniques

• Safety and hygiene

• Contraindications

• Risks, side effects and complications

• Realistic expectations

• Topical anaesthetic

 

Part two is practical. It opens with a presentation covering all the information from the theory workbook and a question and answer session, and the rest of the day is practical work on models across all areas of the face, overseen by fully accredited medical teachers and aesthetic practitioners. It covers:

 

• Skin and facial anatomy

• What botulinum toxin is and how it works

• Storage and dilution

• Prescribing

• Assessing lines and wrinkles

• Treatment areas: frown lines, upper forehead, crow’s feet and smile lines

• Patient selection and treatment options

• Case studies

• Product placement

• Managing expectations

• Consultation, contraindications and aftercare

• Practical injection technique and observation

 

Additional resources are provided in considerable detail to support you in your role as an aesthetic practitioner.

 

Following the presentation, each delegate is given time to carry out a full medical consultation with their model, to assess their face and confirm their suitability for the treatment, and to make sure they understand any risks or side effects. Because all of our courses run in small groups, the practical session lets every delegate observe a wide range of treatment indications and techniques, with plenty of opportunity for questions, feedback and guidance.

 

Lunch is provided for all trainees.
